Ask Christel-Q&A
Life, death, and what lies beyond. After decades at the bedside and in the unseen, Christel answers the questions most of us are afraid to ask aloud. Some questions can’t be Googled. They have to be lived with — and sometimes, gently answered by someone who has spent a lifetime listening to both worlds. Below are answers to the questions Christel is asked most. When you’re ready, send her your own — she reads each one personally and shares her answer here. Death is a doorway, not an ending. Over many years of this work, I’ve come to know the body as a coat we set down — what we truly are, our consciousness and our love, simply continues. The transition is gentler than most people fear: a release, a lightening, very often a reunion with those who went before. We don’t vanish. We change form. Your presence matters more than any perfect words. Hold their hand and let them hear that they are loved and that it is safe to let go — many people are quietly waiting for that permission. Keep speaking even if they seem unresponsive; hearing is the last sense to leave us. Say what’s unsaid, tell them what they’ve meant to you, and promise they won’t be alone. You don’t have to be brave. You only have to be there. In my experience, yes — though rarely the way films portray them. Most of what people sense is the lingering energy of someone who loved them, or a soul who hasn’t yet realized it is free to move on. They are not here to harm you. Fear comes from the unknown, not from them. When you meet such a presence with compassion instead of terror, the encounter almost always softens. Think of the etheric as the subtle layer of reality that rests just beneath the physical — the field where energy, intuition, and spirit move. It’s where your “gut feelings” come from, where signs are sent, and where those who have crossed over still reach toward us. You don’t need to be psychic to sense it. You only need to be still enough to notice. Closer than you think. I understand God not as a distant judge but as the loving intelligence woven through everything — and the angels as its messengers, always available and never imposing. They honor your free will, so they often wait to be asked. You are not walking your path alone, even on the days it feels that way.
